WCHS JROTC

The U.S. Army designated Whitley County JROTC as an "Honor Unit with Distinction" in 2018.  This rating is reserved for the top 5% of programs across the nation. Our program has maintained this rating since 1993.  

We offer JROTC classes to freshmen through seniors during all six class periods.  We offer several afterschool team activities on a voluntary basis.  The program averages over 150 students and maintains two full time JROTC instructors.  

CSM(R) Anthony Hughes and MSG(R) Kirby Jones team together to provide our students with the best instruction JROTC has to offer.
